  1. Dear Kay,
I learned of your journey from a friend of mine probably about a year or so ago. I want you to know that since that time you have always been in my prayers. Eventhough I don't know you personally, I have witnessed through emails of the faith we share in our Great Lord! Thank you for being an encouragement to me in the trials that you have faced with all you have been through and continue to endure. Please know that you and your family are always close in prayer. You are a wonderful testimony of how blessed and safe we are in His arms no matter what comes against us!

  2. What a precious and fitting celebration of Kay's life today. Kevin, you truly honored your wife today and I am blessed to have been there. The love you and Kay shared is so very evident. I don't know you, (though I feel I do now via Kay), but I can see how Kay, as an adult, continued to be that precious, genuine and loving person, unique disciple, if you will, that she was in school. I know without a doubt that she loved you and Andrew more than anything, and God truly has used her (& will continue to do so) in His efforts to love & "shepherd" His children. Kay has definitely spoken to those of us ladies who had the pleasure of going through high school with her (& college in a few cases). We will never forget her gentle spirit and loving kindness. Greg and I will continue to lift up you and Andrew in prayer in the coming months. For now we must all keep in mind that God "knows the plans He has" for each of us and "(His) ways are higher than (our) ways" and in that we rest.

  3. Kevin, I saw the N&O article today and wanted to tell you how sorry I am to read about Kay. I never met her but she sounds like an amazing person. I'm so glad to see that you have such a strong faith community now, and it's incredible that Kay steered you so firmly in that direction. She knew what she was doing. Thanks for sharing this blog and the article.
